Charity Shop Bop is a series on my blog that promotes a different sense of fashion. The fashion industry is a huge financial provider, yet is also creating so much waste that it's effecting our planet. Every year we create over 80 billion articles of clothing which is a ridiculous amount to even fathom.  With 95% of it being recyclable and 100% being reusable, why let it become waste?
My Charity Shop Bops are here to show the limitless horizons of reworking second hand clothing and that it isn't all 'old lady' stuff! Shopping from charity shops is more sustainable, a lot cheaper and also allows you to contribute to a variety of charities at the same time!
So get #CharityShopBoppin and let me see what you find...
!!!!EVERYTHING CHARITY SHOP!!!!
(minus the Asos boots, sorry!)

If I could love one man for the rest of my life, I would hands down chose Elvis. He could serenade me with one of my favourite songs 'Can't Help Falling In Love' and I would be transfixed by all of his beauty, in love with the King. Unfortunately I am very aware that this will never happen, but I suppose a girl can dream...

This outfit is a very casual, not so try-hard look that is cool and comfortable which is right up my street. I am forever posting outfits that aren't necessarily my every day attire. It is fun to dress up in my fancier pieces but being realistic, the clothes I wear on the daily aren't all that exciting. So this is a little look into the more casual Lucy Jane.
Recently, teddy bear coats have been taking over and I kind of have a love hate relationship with them. Yes, they look so cozy but for the prices I'd seen them retail and the fact spring is round the corner, I strayed away from getting one. Fortunately, my local Charity Shop supplied the goods and I found this coppery red fleece which gives me all the same vibes as the teddy bear coats I'd seen online. Costing me only a few pounds it was such a bargain and will keep me nice and snug throughout the last weeks of the cold weather! I then paired it with my favourite graphic tee find EVER, my giant ELVIS top. There is little more to say about this top because...well... just look at it!
Being a child brought up listening to Elvis, anything Elvis related is a must have as it brings back the best memories! A popular way to style oversized tees is with an interesting denim piece, so I opted for these Topshop Jeans I found in a charity shop for just £1!!! I definitely screamed when I saw they were my size. The oversized feel to this outfit creates this loose silhouette which I love as my everyday outfits are generally chosen by the comfort factor. Although I do adore figure hugging pieces every once in a while, my daily style is very big and baggy because you can just hide away in it! I do wish I had my confidence back and was able to rock whatever look I wanted, but for now this kind of look feels safe and I like it. To finish the outfit off I added a classic vintage baker boy hat as why not? I always think little accessories like this are how you express your individual style, adding something extra makes it a little more unique, a little more you!

This Charity Shop Bop just proves how current the pieces you find in Charity Shops can be whilst still adding an essence of your own style. Bringing together second hand pieces gives them a new lease of life which is so much more exciting than the 'Jeans and a Nice top' Misguided feature.
(No shade if you love that, you do you and thats amazing! I just can't relate and want to try spread individuality and sustainability)
I hope I can open your eyes to the world of Charity Shopping and please tag me @lucysb_ on Instagram with #charityshopbop if you discover any pieces!
