Charity Shop Bop is a series on my blog that promotes a different sense of fashion. The fashion industry is a huge financial provider, yet is also creating so much waste that it's effecting our planet. Every year we create over 80 billion articles of clothing which is a ridiculous amount to even fathom.  With 95% of it being recyclable and 100% being reusable, why let it become waste?
My Charity Shop Bops are here to show the limitless horizons of reworking second hand clothing and that it isn't all 'old lady' stuff! Shopping from charity shops is more sustainable, a lot cheaper and also allows you to contribute to a variety of charities at the same time!
So get #CharityShopBoppin and let me see what you find...
!!!!EVERYTHING CHARITY SHOP!!!!
(minus the  Converse, sorry!)

Even though the 'Beast from the East' is making Spring time feel like forever away, it's almost March and that means time to consider your Spring Summer wardrobe for 2018. With so many amazing trends hitting the SS18 catwalks last year, I decided to choose a few of my favourites and style them my own way using my amazing Charity Shop finds!

One of my all time FAVOURITE trends is animal print. Whether it's leopard print, snakeskin print or zebra print, I love it and will fully embrace it. It was all over the catwalks of SS18 with designers showcasing head-to-toe animal prints and clashing different patterns. Prada paired leopard print with bold, bright colours whereas Gucci paired it with loud, exotic prints, both which looked incredible. Opinions on animal print do vary with people thinking it can look quite tacky but honestly, I think thats kind of my vibe!

This Charity Shop Bop is definitely a brave look but 100% something I would wear in the coming season. This salmon pink skirt has been in my wardrobe for a few years, sadly it was forgotten about as it wouldn't pull up past my ever growing bum but HOORAY, IT FINALLY FITS AGAIN! I found it in a kilo sale a few years ago and fell in love with the colour, the high waisted fit compliments my curves so much and I just love it. It's one of those statement pieces I will never throw out as its such a unique colour. I then tied up one of my many leopard print shirts I've picked up from Charity Shops and let me tell you, you will ALWAYS be able to find an animal print shirt in ANY charity shop! When you see it on the hanger it may look like something your Gran would wear but tie it up, style it right and it will be the perfect SS18 piece.
With spring comes warmer temperatures (hopefully) which means I can start wearing a whole bunch of different jackets. This tan suede fitted jacket is the perfect piece to take you back to the 1970s! Whenever I put this on I feel so much cooler, it definitely gives off that vintage vibe. Now I'm not usually someone to reach for the colour Tan but when it comes to animal print, it is the perfect complimentary colour. The contrast of the bold on the bottom and neutral on top makes this outfit look so good! To finalise my love for leopard print, I added a scarf which is something you will also ALWAYS find at Charity Shops. You can tie it as a headband for the complete 70s vibe, wear it as a scarf or even loop it round as a belt to add an extra layer of print. A versatile piece I would definitely recommend looking out for!

This Charity Shop Bop just proves how current the pieces you find in Charity Shops can be whilst still adding an essence of your own style. Bringing together second hand pieces gives them a new lease of life which is so much more exciting than the 'Jeans and a Nice top' Misguided feature.
(No shade if you love that, you do you and thats amazing! I just can't relate and want to try spread individuality and sustainability)
I hope I can open your eyes to the world of Charity Shopping and please tag me @lucysb_ on Instagram with #charityshopbop if you discover any pieces!
